Blank uborki pomescheniya. Cracking the Code of Life Video Questions. An answer key would have been helpful, but it did keep my students engaged while watching.
A question set to help students follow and understand the Nova video 'Cracking the Code of Life'. The video is available to view on the WGBH website - the link is at the top of the worksheet. The video talks about DNA, it's structure and function, what happens when mutations occur (with examples like Cystic Fibrosis and Tay-Sachs disease) and follows the progress of the Human Genome Project, looking forward into proteomics as well. I use the video as an introduction to the biotechnology portion of my senior biology class, and we are able to refer back to it as we go through the rest of the topics.
