I'm so dumb with computers I feel ashamed I downloaded youy data and there was a link to another download. I downloaded that one and followed instructions. I extracted files to usb stick because win xp where I'm trying to get VAG-COM fully working didn't open files. I loaded medds to same file where VAG-COM is and meds told it would be uppgraded to fully working version. Is there any chance I did anything right?
VW Audi USB KKL Diagnostic Interface Cable. Then when the Device Manager window appears, click on the arrow next to 'Ports (COM & LPT)' to see which COM port has been assigned to your interface - it will show as a 'USB Serial Port': VAG-COM 409.1 can only connect to a COM port between COM1 and COM4.
Tomorrow I plug it in car and see if anything works anymore. I have -99 Passat AHU 400tkm and I try to measure injection timing and raise idle speed to reduce idle vibrations.
I could also try to raise glow time so old engine could start easyer in cold conditions. Thank you for trying to help poor bastard to keep old Passat running, I really can't afford any better than I can fix by myself. Another day and I tested it. When I go 'About' it says on serial number: Please test on a car before registering. Licence status: Not tested. I keep getting it's not registered when I try to use advanced things.
I tried to run meds again and it tell succesfully installed. One time it let me go adaptation group 12 and save new value without but I couldn't get in again to confirm if new value was saved. I used login 12233, should that be something else? I cant get injection timing on channel 0 or adaptation channel 02 to adjust idle. Could you please give me a christmas present and help me to get it working. I could try some else version if it could succeed better with KKL VAG-COM 409.1 cable like VCDS LITE?
I bought old win xp laptop only for this car fixing and I would not like to get it online at all. If you be so kind and help me, try to give instructions like for retarded 4yo.
I'm really out of computer world. (, 20:33 PM)obdstart Wrote: Hi On request some members I upload legendary old version VAG-COM 409.1 English languague.
Work with VAG-COM 409.1 (blue) USB interface, any K/KL/KKL and 3rd USB interfaces Inside are instructions for install. For make it easy, who said not activated. Because for me was same 'not activated' at first run. So here's my method.
Connect cable to your car, switch on igniton. Open 'Options', set your com port test it, and save if it's ok. Open 'OBD-II', you should be see it's everything fine, press ok. Open 'About', and should be activated.
Close 'About' everything works. I hope I helped.
